Our 50th Batch of Night Class students are one of the few batches who experienced the transition from lab-based instruction to online training. Finally, they have officially completed their 4 months Full Stack Web Development training via online bootcamp.
Their Online Commencement was held last May 6, 2020 via video conferencing.

OPENING REMARKS
To start the event, Batch Instructor Ben congratulated everyone and gave a short talk to all the bootcamp completers.
“I know things were not really in our favor. Even if we had to shift our learning environment online, we found a way to push through so congratulations everyone. I am really proud of the whole batch.”

Before proceeding to the awarding of Special Awards, Instructor Ben enlightened the bootcampers with this:
“Now that you guys are graduates of Zuitt, I want all of you to be part of the movement as well. I want all of you to do your part for the community of the Software Engineers in the Philippines. Let’s do Zuitt proud.”

CLOSING REMARKS
Instructor Ben shared his journey as a career shifter.
As a motivation, he shared this:
“Some of us here are career shifters just like me. For career shifters, ano ba yung important? I believe many of you guys right now, just like I did when I finished the course, malaki yung self-doubt – yung thinking na “Can I do this? Can I pursue a career in Web Development?” yung ganon.”

Having to work in a completely different industry for more than a decade, he also shared the reason behind he had to take a leap of faith and to pursue a new career.
To end the celebration, Instructor Ben shared a heartfelt message to his former students, now graduates.
“In a nutshell, it’s about how attitude beats aptitude so to speak, That message was imparted to me a long time ago by one of my first few mentors. He told me that yung character mo, yung ugali mo it will define who you are and not really kung ano yung alam mo.“
