Wanting to level up her talents within the digital marketing industry, Jana decided it was time to venture into new skills that would help boost her career. Learning coding helps digital marketers automate tasks, customize websites, optimize analytics, leverage APIs, and collaborate better with developers, boosting campaign effectiveness.

—— Introduce yourself to the Zuitt Community.
Hi I’m Jana Gagan. I’m a digital marketer and I graduated from Zuitt Tech Career Program last April 2024. I was a part-time student since I had a day-time job and currently I’m overseeing overall marketing and website management. The program integrates my new web development skills as a digital marketer.
As a digital marketer, I built landing pages and newsletters manually. After a while, I realized that by learning how to code, it could enhance the process and expand my capabilities. This curiosity about the potential of coding lead me to study web development.
—— Did you have any doubts before enrolling?
Yes. I was hesitant to join the program because I had no prior knowledge in IT so I got overwhelmed at the thought that the people I’d be studying with were in the IT field already and have coding experiences already, but I was determined to upskill. I believe that stepping out of my comfort zone was necessary for my career growth.
—— Was Zuitt able to help you reach your goal?
Definitely. My goal was to upskill and up value my career. Joining this program taught me how to code and enhance my abilities. It made me learn how to understand website dynamics from front-end to back-end. I also can now resolve errors and enhance user experience, leading to more effective marketing strategies.
—— What were your expectations prior to joining the program?
My expectations for me were to learn how to code. I was hesitant because I was wondering if I would be able to learn how to code in the first place since I had zero background in the IT field or have any coding experience. But actually, when I saw the post about Zuitt, I felt like I need to enroll. That it was a sign. When I explored more of Zuitt, I was inspired by the success stories of students, who like me, had no prior IT background or experience in coding. They graduated the program and some of them went on to succeed in the field. That convinced me to enroll in the field and later on found out that Zuitt was the right choice for my learning journey.
Actually, Zuitt’s structured approach in teaching made learning coding both accessible and comprehensible. Despite having zero background on IT, the program’s curriculum broke down complex concepts into manageable lessons and made each step of the learning process more enjoyable and clearer. One of the most memorable highlights for me was when I successfully developed an e-commerce website from scratch. It’s a milestone I’d never would have imagined achieving and was truly a defining moment in my coding journey and a testament that Zuitt is effective program.
—— How was your experience during the program?
The program experience was exceptional. The curriculum was accessible even for beginners like me. I had no prior knowledge, but the instructors were professionals. They were very patient and went beyond expectations. They made sure that we understood the materials. There were group works and the end of each lesson that made a collaborative environment which allowed us to discover our strengths, our areas for improvement, etc. It really was like a traditional classroom setting so I really enjoyed the program.
Actually, we had a discord team chat. It helped us loosened up with one another, After our first group work, that’s when we felt closer to each other. We started helping one another with our group work. It felt really felt like a traditional classroom setting but done online. After that, we started talking more to one another and now we’re less tense and know when to have fun while learning. This classroom environment helped us be more attentive to the lessons. I really enjoyed that about Zuitt. It wasn’t an ordinary lesson-only setup, the program was also fun and enjoyable as we progressed.
If I think about it, I think the majority of my classmates are career shifters, but I also knew some people who had coding backgrounds. But as the program progressed, I realized that it wasn’t intimidating at all because it became evident that we were all learning new concepts together and that we were all helping one another. Everyone was there to expand their knowledge.
—— Was Zuitt able to help you with your career plans?
Yes. Zuitt significantly aided my professional development. Recently, I resolved website issues. It’s something that I never would imagine I’d be capable of. This experience deepened my understanding of the connection of how web development complements and enhances digital marketing efforts.
—— Any message to students like you who want to enroll in Zuitt?
