TALK: ZUITT ALUMNI BATCH 16 ALJHON

Batch Instructor Joyce invited Zuitt Alumnus, Sir Aljhon, her former co-bootcamper from Batch 16 .

Guest Speaker Aljhon, a well-deserving recipient of the Outstanding Mentor Award of Batch 16 Zuitt Coding Bootcamp, has a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology. Now, he works as a Web Developer.

“I invited him to speak to you this evening because I can personally attest to the kind of student he was during our bootcamp training. He was the kind of student who always looks for opportunities to help those who are struggling with their codes. Like him, most of you, are graduates of IT. I believe that you can all learn from his journey of retooling or reequipping himself to be able to practice Web Development.”

Aljhon shared his experience during his bootcamp days.

“Nung first day ko, medyo kabado ako kasi wala akong idea kung paano uli magcode, magdevelop, kasi QA ako.

Aljhon, Batch 16, Zuitt Alumnus

His advice to the graduates regarding job hunting is to be confident with the skills that they have acquired in Zuitt.

After his Bootcamp training and a week before his graduation, he started applying for Web Development jobs. This was to prove to himself that he is confident enough to be out there and join the industry, to know that he can play along with all the applicants who also want to become a Web Developer or a Software Engineer.

To end his talk, he stated:

He then invited the bootcampers to apply at his current employer.
