Full House! Saturday Orientation is a Crowd-Puller!

Despite the weekend traffic and an almost 32 degrees temperature, Zuitt Coding Bootcamp’s one-time FREE SATURDAY ORIENTATION last March 7, 2020 was a success as it garnered a large number of attendees.

We opened a one-time Saturday Orientation slot as part of the bootcamp’s initiative to accommodate the increasing demand of applicant requests. This created an opportunity for those applicants who weren’t able to attend our weekday orientations.

In a matter of days, slots for this orientation were fully booked. Additional slots were opened to accommodate more applicants.

Attendees lined-up to register upon entering Zuitt’s computer lab at the GEMPC Building where the orientation was held.

A CLOSER LOOK

In applying for the bootcamp, all aspiring bootcampers must go through Zuitt’s application process which includes the orientation and the assessment.

We encourage all applicants to attend our orientation to help them visualize what’s ahead of them once they join the bootcamp. Also, we provide assessments because we want to help all applicants know if they are fit to have a Software Engineering Career.

One of our goals for this orientation is to help our future bootcampers create a picture in their heads of their future success with Zuitt.

The orientation was attended by people from all age brackets, showing eagerness and grit to learn coding.

The event was facilitated by Debbie Villareal, one of Zuitt’s pioneer career advisors. During her talk, she highlighted details about what a bootcamper can basically expect after signing up in the training such as completing their own portfolio, undergoing mock interviews and even resume creation

A more detailed discussion about payment options, program details, and career opportunities were addressed during the Q&A where the attendees attentively participated.

Joining this portion is Zuitt’s co-founder Allister Alambra who enthusiastically welcomed queries from the attendees.

After the orientation, each applicant undergone individual assessment and screening. They were first asked to undergo a quick examination to test their comprehension and their natural skill at performing a task. Next was the interview and the evaluation conducted by the Career Advisors.

All in all, the purpose of the event was realized. We were glad to accommodate applicant’s in-demand requests of conducting a Saturday orientation.
